Why can’t you build the IP tracking functionality into the plugin?

Trialing the IP Tracking service offered by Gambit Nash and having a WordPress site made absolute sense to install the plugin. It was so easy, I just installed it via WordPress plugin console, activated and added the code sent to me from the supplier. This did exactly what it said it would do. I didn't need to contact my website development team.
